The opportunity of a lifetime has finally come for Colts fans -- Baltimore Colts fans.

The team, which long ago disappeared into the night and reappeared in Indianapolis, is moving to a new stadium and if the sight of the RCA Dome being demolished doesn’t cheer up those in Baltimore, then the chance to buy pieces of the stadium will.

Offered on Coltsproshop.com, “Locker Room Urinal directly from the Colts locker room. There are only a limited number of these collectible pieces available. Do not miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to own an authentic piece of the RCA Dome. This item will come with a letter of authenticity signed by Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts.”

Colts are flush with memories

Finally a souvenir to remind Baltimore residents of what they think the Irsays did to their city.

Trivia time

How many people have managed at least one game for the Chicago Cubs since Frank Chance led them to their last World Series title?

Sun sets on British empire

The idea to use a sailing ship to promote London’s 2012 Olympic Games took on water and sank this week. Officials in London are now looking for other ways to promote the Games, the BCC reported.

The “Olympic Friend-ship” was to spend four years traveling the world and be crewed by young people, artists, philosophers and students -- picture the Beatles’ “Magical Mystery Tour” on water -- with every nation visited having “the opportunity to contribute to the vessel’s cargo,” according to organizers.

Very colonial. People all over the world putting their cargo on a ship bound for England? Most countries put an end to that a century ago.

En vogue

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James will grace the cover of Vogue magazine, with his arm around model Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady’s significant other (geez, lose one lousy game . . . ).

James is only the third male to be on the cover, joining Richard Gere and George Clooney, whose movies may describe James’ chances this season. The Cavaliers are better than “Chicago” but as for winning the NBA title, well, “Good Night, and Good Luck.”

Pitch blackout

The sight of a soccer player acting as if he’d been struck by lightning is a common one. One actually being struck by lightning, well . . .

Gilvan, a midfielder for Novo Horizonte in Brazil, was hit in the 63rd minute of the Goias state championship against Atletico Goianiense on Wednesday. He was taken to a hospital, treated and released.

“I woke up in the hospital,” Gilvan told the Associated Press. “The pain was too strong. I’m relieved to have survived this.”

Give the red card to mother nature.

Get out of the basement, guys

Two UCLA graduate students are offering their version of an NCAA pool, where entrants “submit a probabilistic model in the form of a computer program, which we then run to determine the bracket for them,” Ben Hood, one of the students, said in an e-mail.

Just what the NCAA tournament was missing: homework.

Still, those who are interested can pop over to ncaanerdoff.com. Or you can just pick your teams based on the mascots. Worked last year -- a (Florida) Gator can eat a (Ohio State) Buckeye, so . . .

Trivia answer

Fifty.

The list includes, Joe McCarthy (1926-30), before he was a genius; Rogers Hornsby (1930-32), after he was a .400 hitter; and Johnny Evers (1913) and Joe Tinker (1916), meaning that Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance worked a whole lot better for the Cubs than Chance-to-Evers-to-Tinker.

The only former Cubs manager who seemed suited for the job, at least in name, was Charlie Grimm.

And finally

Oklahoma football recruit Josh Jarboe, charged with two felony gun counts, told WSB-TV, “I still have my scholarship. I’m still going to Oklahoma.” Two gun charges? He’d be packing light back in the Barry Switzer days.
