Up next for the Galaxy: Saturday at Columbus
When: 4:30 PDT.
Where: Crew Stadium.
On the air: TV: FS West; Radio: 1150, 1330 (Spanish).
Records: Galaxy 16-3-10, Columbus 11-10-8.
Record vs. Columbus 1-0.
Update: Life in the Eastern Conference is a far cry from the race in the West. Columbus, though leading the East by a point, would be tied for fifth with Colorado if it were in the West. David Beckham is out, having gone back to Los Angeles, a byproduct of the Galaxy’s busy schedule. On Wednesday, the Galaxy lost, 1-0, to Alajuelense in CONCACAF Champions League action in Costa Rica. The Galaxy defeated the Crew, 1-0, in their first meeting this season, July 20 at Carson. Robbie Keane, who went 90 minutes in Wednesday’s loss, did not practice Friday, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
