Enforcer George Parros will miss his second straight game after being high-sticked in the right eye Friday during the Ducks’ shootout loss to Vancouver.

Parros wore a visor and skated with the team Tuesday during its game-day skate at Staples Center in advance of tonight’s game against the Kings. However, Coach Randy Carlyle said Parros did not get clearance to play.

‘There’s still some swelling in the eye and the doctor feels his line of work specifically is putting him at some risk and he won’t clear him to play,’ Carlyle said. ‘So he doesn’t play.’

That means Steve Montador, who played on the wing on the fourth line on Sunday, will reprise his role. ‘We’ll probably have to play him more there tonight than we did the other night,’ Carlyle said.

More later on latimes.com from Chris Foster and me at Staples Center.
