South African Zola Budd, running again out of Britain, will run her first-ever road race in the United States March 2 in Phoenix in the third annual Continental Homes 10K.
Race director Fred Moore said other entrants include former champion Alberto Salazar, world marathon record-holder Steve Jones and Olympic silver medalists Wendy Sly and John Treacy.
Budd, 19, who finished seventh in the Olympic 3,000 meters after colliding with Mary Decker, returned to South Africa and indicated she would remain there. She has since returned to England, allowing her to compete internationally.
Sly, of Britain, was a silver medalist in the Olympic 3,000.
