Danny Harris, the Iowa State University sophomore who won an Olympic silver medal in the 400-meter hurdles last summer, says he plans to concentrate on track rather than playing football and risking injury.
Harris, 19, the reigning NCAA and Big 8 champion in his event, tried out as a cornerback for the Cyclones’ football team after the Olympics but injured his knee before the start of the season.
