Bill Christine Is Co-Winner of an Eclipse Award
Bill Christine of The Los Angeles Times, and Eddie Donnally, a former jockey who writes for the Dallas Morning News, are co-winners of the Eclipse Award for thoroughbred racing’s outstanding newapaper story in 1984, it was announced Wednesday at Lake Success, N.Y.
Frank Deford of Sports Illustrated won an Eclipse Award for his magazine coverage. The three will be honored at the Eclipse awards dinner in Los Angeles Feb. 8.
