Fire Hits Wilshire Restaurant
An early-morning fire in Beverly Hills today gutted a Wilshire Boulevard restaurant, heavily damaged an adjacent mortgage company and caused minor smoke damage to a nearby theater, officials said.
The 12:45 a.m. blaze in the 9000 block of Wilshire boulevard caused $650,000 in damages to the Eater’s Digest restaurant and the Gould Mortgage company next door, said Beverly Hills Fire Battalion Chief Steve Hoffman. The Music Hall Theater sustained smoke damage. No injuries were reported in the fire, which was extinguished at 3:20 a.m. Cause of the blaze is under investigation.
