The City Council Monday approved a monthly salary increase of $115.95 for council members. The last salary adjustment was made in May, 1984, establishing the current $299 monthly rate.
The new $414.95 salary, effective May 1, 1986, is the maximum allowable by state law. The maximums are based on city population.
