Daniel International, a unit of Fluor Corp. of Irvine, announced Thursday that it has been awarded a $15-million contract by U.S. Shelter Corp. in Greenville, S.C.
Daniel will provide procurement and construction services for the Citizens and Southern National Bank Building. The new 12-story, 200,000-square-foot office building will be built adjacent to U.S. Shelter’s current headquarters in Greenville.
U.S. Shelter is a real estate development, syndication and management firm.
Daniel International is a worldwide engineering, construction and maintenance company. Fluor is an engineering, construction and natural resources management company.
ICEE-USA of Anaheim, the distributor of a semi-frozen drink sold under the name ICEE, has raised $3.2 million from its portion of an initial public offering of 800,000 shares of common stock at $7 a share. Larry F. Sternberg, ICEE treasurer, said the firm plans to use the money to reduce $1.7 million in long-term debt and to expand operations into Mexico and Canada.
The company, which currently distributes its products through 1,380 retail and fast-food outlets in 14 Western states, also hopes to add new outlets and acquire ICEE distributors in other parts of the country.
