Doris T. Osborne has been named president of First American Title Co. of Hawaii Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of First American Title Co. of Santa Ana. Osborne was also named vice president and state manager of the Santa Ana parent company, with responsibility for business development in Hawaii.

Skip Rimer has been appointed vice president/national correspondent representative for Beverly Hills Savings and Loan Assn. He works out of the S&L;’s administrative offices in Mission Viejo and is a resident of San Juan Capistrano.

Zoetrans Inc. has appointed James A. Catlin sales manager of its Northwest region and Robert E. Banvard holds the same title for Zoetrans’ Southwest region. Zoetrans is an Irvine importer and distributor of a line of three- and four-wheel vehicles manufactured by Reliant Motor Public Limited Company of Great Britain.

Gordon Y. Watada has been named director of Western operations for CE Maguire Inc., an Irvine architectural, engineering and planning firm.

George Frey has been appointed vice president of sales and operations at Burlington Air Express of Irvine, the overnight package division of Burlington Northern Air Freight.

David Baker has been elected chairman of the board of Irvine Medical Center. Baker is founding president of IMC, a not-for-profit corporation whose purposed is to build a hospital in Irvine.

San Francisco-based Bank of America has made two local appointments. Thomas J. Starr is vice president and head of customized financial services at the bank’s Anaheim-area management group. Forrest E. Struss has been appointed vice president and manager of its main Downey office. Joel D. Soffer has been appointed vice president and manager of Bank of America’s La Habra main office.

Daniel G. Aldrich Jr., chancellor emeritus of UC-Irvine and acting chancellor of UC-Riverside is one of three Southern California executives appointed to the advisory board of The Hill Partnership, Inc. The Orange County-based architectural firm specializes in the renovation of existing properties and the development of new commercial projects. Also appointed were Barna S. Szabo, senior vice president, Wrather Properties Development, a Long Beach-based land development company that currently oversees development activities adjacent to the Queen Mary and Spruce Goose, and Robert H. Rosenfield, a partner in the Los Angeles law firm of Memel, Jacobs, Pierno & Gersh and a specialist in health care law.

Geri Dyke has been named vice president/marketing and public relations at Orange National Bank, an independent bank based in Orange.

James M. Hennings has been promoted to vice president of marketing at State of the Art in Costa Mesa, a privately held company that manufactures and markets accounting software for small business users of Apple, IBM and IBM-compatible microcomputers.

Gene Courtney has been named senior vice president and general manager at Motivation Resources Inc. of Costa Mesa, which provides incentive program planning, promotion and administration as well as merchandise and travel awards. Jack Hawthorne will replace Courtney as vice president sales and marketing.

Robert O. Conroy, Ronald M. Shields and Allen G. Taie have been promoted to vice presidents of their respective divisions at SETAC, Inc., the Irvine-based systems engineering company. Conroy will head the SETAC Applied Systems Group in Camarillo; Shields will head the Systems Engineering Group in Falls Church, Va.; and Taie will head the Information Processing Systems Group in San Diego. SETAC also announced the appointment of Robert J. Buda as director technical recruiting.

James Carlson has been named vice president of planning and engineering for CPE Engineers, an Irvine-based firm formerly known as VTN Corp. CPE Engineers, a land planning and civil engineering firm, has developed communities in Mission Viejo, Pacific Palisades, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel and Newport Beach.

Jerrilynn Kline has been appointed vice president operations at Fawcett Productions, a Santa Ana-based video production company.

Dennis X. Daze has been named Orange County district manager of Coldwell Banker real estate management services.

Ronald E. Clevenger has been appointed western regional manager at Qualogy Inc. in Irvine. Qualogy, a San Jose-based company, manufactures mass storage subsystems for computers.

Sandra J. Eddy was recently named director of sales training and development at Times Mirror Cable Television in Irvine. Eddy’s responsibilities will include directing all aspects of sales training and development in the company’s 57 cable systems.

Harry E. Ashmore has been promoted to senior vice president, commercial banking, at American Interstate Bank of Newport Beach and Orange.

George Priebe has been appointed vice president, vendor contract negotiations, at HPI Health Care Services Inc., a subsidiary of Omnicare Inc. Santa Ana-based HPI is a hospital pharmacy management company.

Douglas M. Boyd has been appointed vice president, real estate loan administrator at Eldorado Bank in Tustin.
