Long Beach Women Trounce Stanford
Coming off an 81-76 victory over previously undefeated Louisiana Tech Thursday night, the third-ranked Cal State Long Beach women’s basketball team breezed to an easy 98-56 victory over Stanford in a Western Collegiate Athletic Assn. game Saturday night at Long Beach.
Jackie White scored 16 points for the 49ers (16-1, 5-0), while Kirsten Cummings and sophomore Margaret Mohr had 14 each, and Janet Davis added 13.
Cummings and Davis both had 12 rebounds for the 49ers, who host San Diego State Tuesday night. Stanford dropped to 0-6 in conference, 8-11 overall.
