Small Earthquake Stirs the Pacific
A Caltech spokesman reported that an earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale was recorded about 28 miles southwest of San Diego on Sunday evening.
Spokesman Dennis Meredith said the quake was recorded at 7:09 p.m. on the scale at the Pasadena institute.
The temblor apparently did little more than stir the Pacific Ocean, however, as area lifeguards and law enforcement agencies had no reports of damages.
