Girls Roundup : Woodbridge Defeats University, 90-22

Center Sharon Lyon had a game-high 21 points to lead Woodbridge High School to a 90-22 Sea View League victory over University Friday night in the Warriors’ Gym.

Lyon, a 6-foot 1-inch senior, made 9 of 11 shots from the field and had 12 rebounds for the Warriors, ranked No. 6 in Orange County.

Jill Daniels and Holly Ingrahma added 16 and 15 points, respectively, for Woodbridge (12-0, 21-3). Daniels also had 10 rebounds.

Senior Lyn Lacanienta led the Trojans (1-11 in league) with 10 points.

Corona del Mar 41, Costa Mesa 30--The Sea Kings outscored the Mustangs, 15-7, in the third quarter to seal the win at Corona del Mar. Guard Fran Wynn had 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the Sea Kings. Michelle Willard had 10 points and 15 rebounds for Corona del Mar (10-2, 13-6). Valerie Palmer scored 10 for the Mustangs (8-4, 10-10).

Saddleback 48, Estancia 46--Monica Walton scored 25 points and had 15 rebounds for Saddleback (4-8), and teammate Grace Terrado added 12 points.
