A motorcycle rider was killed at the intersection of Midway Drive and Fordham Street in San Diego when he swerved to avoid a car making a left turn and skidded into the oncoming vehicle. Officials withheld identification of the victim pending notification of next of kin.

Police Wednesday night said they did not know if the driver of the car making the turn would be charged. His name was not released.
