Desert 90, Glendale 81

Glendale, one of the hottest teams in the state, had an off shooting night and paid the price, losing at home to College of the Desert.

Glendale, which fell to 14-3 and 17-11 overall, remained tied for the Inland Valley Conference lead with Riverside, a 102-72 winner over East LA. Each team has one game left.

Glendale travels to San Bernardino while Riverside must face third-place Desert (12-5, 18-11).

John Hoffman was the most effective shooter for Glendale, hitting 12 of 22 shots on his way to 26 points. Randy Alexander had 13 points while Bill Carr had 10 points and a career-high 14 assists.

Pierre Smith led the Roadrunners with 34 points and nine rebounds. Jerome White added 18 points and nine rebounds as Desert outrebounded Glendale, 36-20.
