CSUN Women Shutout Twice by Fullerton
Cal State Fullerton swept Northridge, 1-0 and 5-0, in a nonleague softball double-header Wednesday in Fullerton.
Northridge managed only two hits off Debbie Mygend in the 10-inning first game, and four off Susan Lefebvre in the second game.
Northridge pitcher Kathy Slaten matched Mygend inning by inning in the opener until the 10th. With two out in the extra inning, Lisa Noreiga singled home Stephanie Tanaka. Slaten, 6-1, allowed only three hits and struck out 12.
A home run by Michelle Gramacki and two singles by Teri O’Berg paced Fullerton during the second game.
The Titans improved to 6-0 with the sweep. Northridge is 9-3.
