Las Virgenes Coalition Will Install Officers
A Woodland Hills environmentalist who has worked for development restraints in the Santa Monica Mountains will be installed today as president of the Las Virgenes Homeowners Federation, a coalition of 16 homeowner groups west of the San Fernando Valley.
Dennis Washburn, an advertising executive who lives in the unincorporated Mulwood section of Woodland Hills, will take over the post at a 7:30 p.m. dinner at the Westlake Inn, 32001 Agoura Road, Westlake Village.
U.S. Rep. Anthony C. Beilenson (D-Tarzana) will be keynote speaker.
Other federation officers to be installed are Norm Buehring of Agoura and Mary Weisbrook of Agoura Hills, vice presidents; Nick Thille of Agoura Hills, treasurer, and Jill Workman of Calabasas, secretary.
Federation officials said their group serves as a watchdog for development and other issues affecting the western Los Angeles County area.
