L. A. County Building Down in January
Construction activity in Los Angeles County was down in January from December by more than 600 building permits with a valuation difference of about $7.4 million.
In January, 1,559 permits were issued with a value of $109,207,990. In December, 2,210 permits were issued with a value of $116,588,680. Activity was also higher in January, 1984, in comparison with this January. In January, 1984, 1,900 permits were issued with a value of $137,215,160.
However, activity was up for the 1984-85 fiscal year with 15,013 permits issued with a value of $812,099,550. During the 1983-84 fiscal year, 14,808 permits were issued with a value of $663,096,710.
