Fullerton : Election Cost Savings Seen in Consolidation
- Share via
Fullerton hopes to save at least 50% in election costs by consolidating City Council elections, beginning with the November general election in 1986. The City Council voted 4-1 to approve the measure, citing cost savings and increased voter participation. “Until we have experienced an election I would not venture an estimate on our cost savings any higher than 50%,” York said. “But we’ll see.”
