NCAA Women’s Roundup : No. 1 Texas and No. 2 Northeast Louisiana Win

Andrea Lloyd had 21 points and 12 rebounds to help move Texas into the NCAA women’s Mideast Regional semifinals with an 84-62 victory over Western Michigan Thursday night at Austin, Tex.
Texas (28-2), ranked No. 1 in the nation, led at halftime, 43-29.
Western Michigan ended its season at 19-10 after winning the Mid-America Conference postseason tournament last week.
The Longhorns will try to extend their 20-game winning steak at Bowling Green, Ky., March 22 against the winner of Sunday’s Middle Tennessee State-Western Kentucky game.
Northeast Louisiana 85, Missouri 84 (OT)--Freshman center Chana Perry hit a foul shot with 1:18 left in overtime to give No. 2 Northeast Louisiana a victory in the first round of the Midwest Regional at Monroe, La.
Missouri ended its season at 22-9. Northeast Louisiana (21-8) will play host to the winner of tonight’s game between Auburn and Memphis State on March 22.
