Fifty-six men were arrested Friday during a crackdown on suspected drug dealers in Altadena, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Sheriff’s Deputy Mason Kenny said the operation was carried out jointly by Pasadena police and sheriff’s narcotics officers and was designed to clear the area of street drug sellers.
The sweep led to drug dealers in an apartment complex in the 600 block of West Altadena Drive and a house in the 400 block of West Vermont St., he added.
The men were booked on charges including selling and possession of cocaine. There were outstanding warrants for many of them. Only $1,100 worth of rock-style cocaine and a small amount of marijuana was found.
