A home divided into three apartments was gutted by a fire that caused about $95,000 in damages, a National City Fire Department official said Sunday. Capt. Charles Palomino said the blaze broke out about 11 p.m. Saturday in the attic of the home at 405 E. 4th St. One tenant was home when the fire started but was not injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Palomino said.
