Woman, 54, Dies After Being Hit by Car in Corona del Mar
A Santa Ana Heights woman died after being struck by a car in an unmarked intersection on East Coast Highway in Corona del Mar on Friday night, Newport Beach police said.
Gloria Jean Weber, 54, was pronounced dead at Fountain Valley Community Hospital shortly after the 9:40 p.m. accident. Weber was trying to cross the intersection of East Coast Highway and Narcissus Avenue when she was struck by a westbound car driven by an 18-year-old Tustin man, said Newport Beach police traffic investigator Doug Johnson.
No charges were filed, but Johnson said the investigation was continuing.
