A special education teacher at Sierra Vista High School is suing the Baldwin Park Unified School District for damages, medical expenses and loss of earnings, claiming that the district forced her to take medical leave. Sheryl Wubker’s suit, filed in Pomona Superior Court, claims that the district imposed “excessive and unreasonable” classroom observation that caused her trauma and emotional stress, forcing her departure in March, 1984. Assistant Supt. E. David Barker declined to comment on the case, other than to say that Wubker taught handicapped students and had been employed by the district four years.
