Memorial Services Saturday for Carol Shirley

Memorial services for Carol Shirley, wife of Bill Shirley, former Times sports editor, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Whittier. Mrs. Shirley died Thursday morning after a lengthy illness.
Besides her husband, who is currently The Times’ national sports correspondent, she leaves two daughters, Suzanne Hovdey and Elizabeth Bagby.
Donations in Carol Shirley’s name may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of the First Christian Church of Whittier.
