Chrisco Is Winner of Speedway Scratch Main

Keith Chrisco of Whittier won the scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Friday night in front of 6,479 in the Orange County Fairgrounds at Costa Mesa.

Chrisco defeated Jim Lawson, Keith Larson and Brad Oxley to win the four-lap event.

Lance King of Panorama City beat Wayne Luetz, Chrisco, Alan Christian and Oxley to win the handicap main event. Rookie Doug Nicole of Redondo Beach won the second-division main event, and Mike Maely of Midway City won the third-division main event.
