Woman’s Body Discovered in Sea
The body of a missing 42-year-old Huntington Beach woman was found Wednesday floating in the surf off Sunset Beach.
Elizabeth C. Akers had last been seen at 11 p.m. Tuesday when she left her parents’ house clad in a navy-blue sweat suit. Police later found her car parked on Pacific Coast Highway at Admiralty Lane.
The woman’s nude body was discovered at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday by a sheriff’s patrol off 4thStreet in Sunset Beach.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is scheduled today.
