Tierrasanta
Children playing with matches were suspected of causing a fire Saturday that burned the outside of a bungalow classroom at Miller Elementary School in Tierrasanta, said San Diego Fire Department spokesman Denis McNeill.
About 25 firefighters fought the blaze that caused an estimated $23,000 damage to the building and school equipment that was stored inside.
Witnesses told firefighters that children were seen lighting matches and paper near the building, but no suspects were arrested. The Metro Arson Strike Team is investigating.
