USC ESTABLISHES BLACKER FUND
USC has established the Irwin R. Blacker Writing Scholarship Fund for students in the school of cinema-television.
Blacker, who chaired graduate studies in cinema for nearly a decade, died in February. He had 22 works published, ranging from scripts for such shows as “Bonanza” to novels.
Those wishing to contribute should write to Robert Jenkins, USC School of Cinema-Television, University Park, Los Angeles, 90089-2211.
