Orange County musicians and artists have organized a June 8 concert at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, dubbed “Orange County Artists for World Hunger,” to benefit the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund.

Among the local acts who will perform at the all-day concert will be the James Harman Band, Psychobud, T.S.O.L., Cathedral of Tears, DIN, the International Reggae All-stars, ESP jazz band and folk singer April Danielle.

Along with the music, Orange County artists will have works on display and for sale in the amphitheater concourse.

“We’re hoping that Orange County will really get behind this and come through,” said Lee Dolan, lead singer of DIN and co-organizer of the event with DIN drummer John Lenz.

Dolan said that in addition to the music and art, a wide range of magicians, comedians, jugglers and poets will perform throughout the day.

Tickets will go on sale Friday at the Irvine Meadows box office and Ticketmaster outlets. General admission will be $10, and a limited number of reserved seats in the orchestra pit will be $25.
