An early-morning raid of a Spring Valley home Friday by the Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of eight people for burglary and possession of stolen property.

According to a Sheriff’s Department spokesman, the tactical unit was brought in because the house’s occupants, who were suspected of stealing electricity, were believed to be armed. Sheriff’s deputies said they recovered a “large amount” of stolen property at the house, including a car, car parts, appliances and stereos.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Linda Slack, 24, on suspicion of two counts of burglary. Five men and two other women at the house were arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property. They were Debra Sue Dunn, 29; Dana Lee Harris, 21; Michael Lee Bush, 28; Robert Lee Rouse, 65; David William Dunkle, 35; Karen Elizabeth Buck, 53, and Gregory Johnston, 38. Johnston was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a flare gun, a restricted weapon.
