Alhambra
Councilman Michael Blanco will become mayor of Alhambra on May 28 and will meet with residents the next day to report on the city’s goals for the fiscal year starting July 1. The report, including slides illustrating the city’s achievements, will be presented at 7 p.m. May 29 in the City Council chambers at City Hall and will be followed by a reception in the City Hall lobby. Blanco will succeed Talmage V. Burke as mayor under a city policy that rotates the office among council members every nine months.
