Local News in Brief : 11 Held, Arms Seized in Raid on Purported ‘Biker Crash Pad’

Enough plastic explosives to level half a city block, a machine gun and narcotics were confiscated Wednesday afternoon when San Fernando and Los Angeles police raided a “biker crash pad” in Pacoima, authorities said.

Seven men and four women, all residents of the single-family home, were arrested on suspicion of possessing explosives, controlled substances and illegal firearms, according to Lt. Tony Pennington of the San Fernando Police Department.

Pennington said officers served a search warrant at the home about 2:30 p.m. after San Fernando narcotics detectives received information that methamphetamine, or “speed,” was being sold there.

A search turned up a pound of plastic explosives and blasting caps, which were removed by police bomb-squad members, Pennington said. The search also uncovered a loaded machine gun, two rifles, two shotguns and several handguns, Pennington said, as well as an ounce of methamphetamine.

Pennington said the “biker crash pad” was a sort of “demilitarized zone” where members of rival motorcycle groups could meet without fighting.

Those arrested at the house at 13935 Judd St. and taken to Van Nuys jail were identified as Delores M. Sullivan, 35; Cindy Ann Davis, 20; Sonny Ross, 44; Sharon Wilma Ross, 36; John Fisher, 33; Raymond Dierking, 26; Roxanne Roland, 23; Michael Dellingham, 22; and Carl Roy Vincent, Jeb Hairen, and Von Stich, whose ages were not given.
