Fiesta Bowl, NBC Agree on 5-Year Deal
Fiesta Bowl officials announced Thursday the signing of a five-year agreement with NBC-TV, saying that it strengthens the bowl’s position as No. 5 in the country.
Executive Director Bruce Skinner said the Fiesta Bowl becomes the first bowl outside the the Rose, Sugar, Cotton and Orange bowls to pay more than $1 million to each participant.
The escalating contract will be worth $1.3 million in the first year and will increase by $100,000 each year until it reaches $1.7 million in its fifth year.
