This is a list of city-designated local landmarks or historic downtown buildings identified as significant by the Long Beach Heritage Foundation:

Jergins Trust Building, 120 E. Ocean Blvd. Built 1919, addition 1929. Ten-story office building with ground-floor theater. Terra-cotta shields and gargoyles distinguish building exterior.

Ocean Center Building, 110 W. Ocean Blvd. Built 1929. Mediterranean-style office building.

Heartwell (Landmark) Building, 19 Pine Ave. Built 1925. Brick office building.

Breakers Hotel, 210 E. Ocean Blvd. Built 1925. Rococo decoration at entrance, Beaux-Arts wall treatments.

First National Bank (Enloe or Bank of America) Building, 101 Pine Ave. Built 1900, addition 1906. Noted for clock tower in place since 1907.

Security Pacific Bank, 102 Pine Ave. Built 1925. Thirteen-floor brick office building.

Farmers and Merchants Bank Building, 302 Pine Ave. Built 1922 in Beaux-Arts classical revival style.

Willmore Hotel, 303 Cedar Ave. Built 1925. One of many apartment buildings built in 1920s to accommodate tourists.

Masonic Temple, 228-234 Pine Ave. Built 1903. One of oldest commercial buildings in city.

First Congregational Church, Third Street and Cedar Avenue. Built 1914. Has 48-foot ceiling, seats 1,400, has 4,074-pipe organ and excellent acoustics.

Willmore Apartments, Third Street and Cedar Avenue. Built 1925. Early own-your-own apartments.

Insurance Exchange Building, 205 Broadway. Built 1925. Art Deco style with terra-cotta facade.

Pacific Southwest (Andrus) Building, 201 Long Beach Blvd. Built 1923. Twelve-story office building.

Downtown Post Office, Third Street and Long Beach Boulevard. Built in 1934 of large masonry blocks as Depression public works project.

Lafayette and Broadlind hotels and Campbell Apartments, Broadway and Linden Avenue. Built late 1920s.

Villa Riviera, 800 E. Ocean Blvd. Built 1929. The second-tallest building in county in 1929 with 16 stories, the French Empire-style luxury apartment building won international award for architecture.

Dr. Rowan Building, 201-209 Pine Ave. Built 1930. One of city’s best examples of Art Deco style.

Artaban Apartments, 10 Atlantic Ave. Built 1921. First own-your-own apartments in city.

Cooper Arms Apartments, East Ocean Boulevard. Built 1921 during oil-fed building boom.

Scottish Rite Cathedral, 855 Elm Ave. Built 1926.

Pacific Coast Club, 850 E. Ocean Blvd. Built 1926. Once a glamorous club for city’s powerful, it has the look of a castle. Unused for almost two decades, it is tied up in bankruptcy proceeding.

St. Regis Building, 1030 E. Ocean Blvd. Built 1926.

Rancho Los Alamitos, 6400 E. Bixby Hill Road. Built 1806, with many later additions. Example of working ranch.

Rancho Los Cerritos, 4600 Virginia Road. Built 1844 as headquarters for 167,000-acre Spanish land grant.

Long Beach Community Hospital, 1720 Termino Ave. Built 1922-24.

Bembridge House, 903 Park Circle. Built 1906 on Drake Park, it is one of the city’s last Victorian homes.

Cherry Avenue Lifeguard Station, foot of Cherry on the beach. Built 1938.

Recreation Park Gold Course Clubhouse, 5000 E. Anaheim St. Built 1929.

William Benjamin Dearborn Simmons Tracker Pipe Organ, 5950 Willow St. (United Methodist Church). Built 1846. Believed to be oldest Tracker-type church organ west of the Mississippi.

Heartwell/Lowe House, 2505 East 2nd St. Built 1919. Colonial Revival structure is near Bluff Park Historic District.

Long Beach Mural (from old Municipal Auditorium), Plaza Mall at 3rd Street and Locust Avenue. Constructed 1936-38.

Fire Maintenance Station No. 10, 1445 Peterson Ave. Built 1925. Includes vintage firefighting wagons and equipment.

Leonie Pray House, 4252 Country Club Drive. Built 1927. English Tudor mansion.

Skinny House, 708 Gladys Ave. Built 1931. Unique three-story, 860-square-foot English Tudor residence on 10-foot-by-50-foot lot.

Francis Clock House, 4242 Pine Ave. Built 1933. Example of Spanish Revival style by renowned architect Kirtland Cutter.
