The motorist whose killing of a 13-year-old girl five years ago set off a national crusade against intoxicated drivers has pleaded innocent in Sacramento Municipal Court to his sixth drunk driving charge. Judge John Stroud scheduled a preliminary hearing June 3 to determine if there is enough evidence to put Clarence Busch, 52, on trial in Superior Court. Busch served 16 months in state prison on a 1980 vehicular manslaughter conviction for the death of Cari Lightner, whose mother, Candi Lightner, later founded Mothers Against Drunk Driving, a national organization that now has about 600,000 members.
