Several members of the striking Teamsters Union returned to their jobs at Yosemite National Park. Alan Richmond, spokesman for the Yosemite Park & Curry Co., which operates all concessions in the park, said 14 members resigned from the union and went back to work as drivers, mechanics and gas station attendants. Harvey Killman, secretary-treasurer of striking Teamsters Local 386, said the strike was continuing, however, despite the defections, with picketing at nine locations inside the park and at a satellite warehouse in Fresno. More than 100 union members Friday began what is believed to be the first strike in the history of the park in a dispute over wages and health plan contributions.
