A Santa Ana man was struck and injured by a car Sunday as he rode a bicycle on the San Diego Freeway near Seal Beach Boulevard.

A California Highway Patrol spokesman said Rafael Artiva, 21, was pedaling north on the freeway’s shoulder about 7:30 a.m. when he veered left into the path of northbound traffic and was hit.

Artiva suffered cuts and bruises and was in good condition Sunday evening at Memorial Hospital of Long Beach.
