Teen-Agers Collide on Motorcycles, Killing 1

A teen-age motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with another motorcycle on a bridge at a state recreation park near Gorman, authorities said Sunday.

Lawrence Langley, 17, of Buena Park was pronounced dead at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia after the Saturday accident, California Highway Patrol Officer Phil Lammi said.

Langley was riding in the Hungry Valley State Recreational Vehicle Area when he struck a motorcycle driven by Mark Snyder, 14, of La Mirada, Lammi said.

Snyder was taken to Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier with leg injuries. He was listed in good condition Sunday.

Langley was traveling about 5 m.p.h and Snyder at 35 m.p.h. at the time of the collision, Lammi said.
