Jerry White’s Homer Leads Yokohama Team

TOKYO — Jerry White hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning that broke a 2-2 tie and triggered a five-run rally that powered the Yokohama Taiyo Whales to a 7-4 Japanese League victory over the Yomiuri Giants Sunday. The homer was the third of the season for White, formerly with the Montreal Expos.
