Driver Dies After Hitting Parked Truck
A 27-year-old Burbank man was killed Tuesday when his car slammed into the rear of a stake-bed truck parked on Ventura Boulevard west of Tujunga Avenue in Studio City, police said.
The victim, Patrick William Connors, was driving east on Ventura at about 5 a.m. when he hit the truck, Detective Frank Rodriguez said.
The truck, legally parked on the south side of the street, was pushed into the shrubs in front of a restaurant at 11418 Ventura Blvd.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
