Pat Bradley shot a five-under-par 67 Friday to take a two-stroke lead over four players after two rounds of the $255,000 LPGA Rochester International golf tournament.

Bradley shaved one stroke off par on the front nine, then put together four birdies on the tough back nine of the Locust Hill Country Club course at Pittsfield, N.Y., for a 36-hole total of 141.

Tied at 143 were Judy Scranton, who bogeyed her final hole to fall out of sole possession of second place; Atsuko Hikage; Rosie Jones, and Silvia Bertolaccini.

Judy Clark, the first-round leader, followed her 69 with a 75 for 144, tied with Debbie Hall (74-70).

Nancy Lopez, a three-time winner of the tournament, shot a 75 and is in a group at 145 that also includes tour money leader Alice Miller and defending champion Kathy Whitworth.

Whitworth moved back into striking range with a 69 after opening with a 76. Miller, winner of last weekend’s McDonald’s championship, shot a 71-74.

Billy Casper used just 25 putts to card a seven-under-par 65 in the opening round of the 54-hole Senior Players ReUnion Pro-Amateur at Dallas.

Casper had eight birdies on putts ranging from 6 to 25 feet. He also chipped in from 35 feet off the green in his round of 32-33.

Casper held a two-shot lead over Don January and Lee Elder as the seniors caught the Bent Tree Country Club on a day when the wind was light in the inaugural round of this tournament patterned after the Bing Crosby Pro-Amateur.

Shooting 68s were Australian Peter Thomson, winner of four seniors tournaments this year, and Charles Owens, who had to qualify Tuesday to get into the 54-player field.

Owens and partner Jack Reese, a 21-handicapper, led the pro-amateur division by one stroke with a 58. Reese helped Owens 10 shots.

Lilian Behan of Ireland gained the final of the British Women’s Amateur golf championship with a pair of victories at Ganton, England.

Behan, 20, overpowered England’s Tracy Hammond, 6 and 5, and American-based Welsh teen-ager Karen Davies, 4 and 3, to qualify for today’s 18-hole final against Curtis Cup player Claire Waite.

Waite, a 20-year-old former English champion, posted easy victories over New Yorker Kimberly Gardner, 5 and 4, and Welsh champion Vicki Thomas, 3 and 2.
