Police said a domestic dispute apparently caused a 50-year-old Pacific Palisades man to fire several rounds at a Los Angeles police helicopter, then take his own life. Paul William Lindsey Jr. had been holding members of the Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics team at bay for several hours outside his house on Anoka Drive near Las Lomas Avenue. Lindsey allegedly fired several rounds at a police helicopter on routine patrol.
