Jameson Beats Lee on Unanimous Decision
Mike Jameson of San Jose pounded out a unanimous 10-round decision Friday night over Sylvester Lee in a scheduled 10-round heavyweight bout.
Jameson, who weighed 227, became the aggressor and built up a point lead after going down in the fourth round from a left uppercut. He took the mandator eight count from referee Marty Sammon.
Los Angeles resident Lee, who weighed 203, started fast and faded slightly toward the end of the bout. It was his first scheduled 10-rounder.
Jameson improved his record to 18-8, while Lee’s record fell to 10-4.
