Top-Seeded Players Advance in Racquetball

The top four seeded players in the boys’ 18-year-old division Saturday advanced past the first round of the U.S. National Juniors Racquetball Tournament at the Newport Beach Sporting House.

No. 1-seeded Mike Lowe defeated Shannon Howarth, 15-2, 15-5; No. 2-seeded Mike Griffith defeated Howard Millard, 15-7, 15-7; No. 3-seeded Chris Cole defeated Dominic Carrasco, 15-7, 15-7; and No. 4-seeded Jeff Conine defeated Matt Light, 15-6, 15-4.
