Medalist Sam Randolph of Santa Barbara and Brad Greer of Huntington Beach, both students at USC, will meet in today’s 36-hole final for the California Amateur championship at the Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Randolph, 21, advanced to the final by defeating Tim Robinson of Palo Alto, 5 and 4, in Friday morning’s quarterfinals, then needed only 20 putts for 16 holes to oust Dennis Paulson of San Diego, 3 and 2, in the semifinals.

Randolph, a runner-up in the NCAA and U.S. Amateur championships, was three under par in the quarterfinals and four under par in the semifinals.
