Santa Ana Men Held in Murder
Police arrested two Santa Ana men Tuesday in connection with the murder last month of Ismael Contero.
Ten officers arrested Gerado Gonzalez Gamino, 26, on suspicion of murder and apprehended his brother, Luis, 23, on charges of aiding and abetting in the June 30 homicide, police said.
Both suspects were taken to the Orange County Jail after the 3:30 a.m. arrests at 1033 W. Bishop Place.
Witnesses said Contero, 30, was shot twice in front of 2426 W. Downie Place in Santa Ana after a verbal altercation with a male Latino.
