Simply Peachy Weather Expected for Orange County

Share

The National Weather Service is expecting another weekend of thoroughly typical and altogether acceptable summer weather for Orange County and the rest of the Southland, with generally fair skies and high temperatures likely through Sunday.

The low clouds will burn off a bit earlier in the morning, thanks to an upper-level high-pressure area developing over New Mexico. So temperatures should be warmer: highs should climb into the high 80s in Orange County and the low 90s in the inland valleys.

The high-pressure center will bring in some moisture from Mexico on Saturday and Sunday, with a chance of afternoon and evening thundershowers in the mountain and desert regions. But most of the Southland will probably escape with nothing more than a bit of mugginess.

Generally Fair Forecast

A generally fair forecast with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s applies to the inland regions. Coastal areas will be clear by late morning with highs in the mid-70s and lows in the mid-60s. Generally speaking, the surf should run three to five feet at intervals of about 12 seconds.

San Diego should have fair skies with temperatures ranging from about 70 at night to highs in the mid-80s.
