USFL players will receive their 1985 playoff money by Aug. 15 and will be paid some of their 1986 salaries next spring while the league switches to a fall schedule, Commissioner Harry Usher said.
The playoff money is tied up in court after ABC refused to pay $7 million of its rights fee because teams had moved out of major markets.
The league, attempting to collect, filed suit June 19.
