2 Pacoima Apartments Destroyed by Fire
A fire that apparently started in some shrubbery destroyed two of the 30 units in a two-story apartment complex Saturday in Pacoima, damaged six other apartments and caused $110,000 in losses, a Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman said.
Spokesman Larry Ford said firefighters from six companies fought the blaze at 12627 Van Nuys Blvd., which was reported at 1:14 p.m. It was extinguished in 23 minutes.
No one was injured, Ford said. The fire did $80,000 in damage to the complex and $30,000 in damage to the contents of the apartments, he said.
